Olamide Ogunade
Art is life

A delicate, sympathetic approach to the treatment of his subjects is omnipresent, giving them a graceful, exceptionally emotive elegance.

He attaches enormous importance to true renderings of the skin, in particular by adding colour with modern and often very fashionable details in acrylic.

His signature: bubbles.

Olamide Ogunade Olisco is undoubtedly one of Africa's most exciting artists, with an impressive reputation in Europe, the Arab Emirates and the United States.

His works are a striking marriage between typically African dynamism and hyperrealism. Olamide follows the events, cultural values and norms of the African community.

(Born in 1996, Ogun State, Nigeria)

A graduate of the fine arts department at Yaba Technical Institute in Lagos, Olamide draws inspiration from his experiences and what is happening in his society. He creates works that promote understanding of black identity.

He uses biros, acrylic paint, oil paint, charcoal and pencil.
